BEASTIE BOYS!!! OOOOOH YEAAAAH!! I was dancing like an idiot out the front of the house, getting down to Intergalactic (Cause that's the song I listen to when I do my BirdMartiaN comic). And Body Movin's another special one for me, cause I wrote a lot of WR stuff to that.

But mainly, I just loved dancing and shit and knowing that they were within a kilometre of me, going nuts. Oh man, that delayed 'Ddddrop!' for Intergalactic with the turntable solo was fuckin' AWESOME! Yeah!!

Yeah! Well, they did this thing where they went into the crowd, and Mike D and the guys were about 3 metres away. Awesome! You can really see how old they up that close :-)

You were there? Fuckin' A!!!! It's okay, but it's annoying when the good acts get drowned out by the cheap acts in the pavillions. Happens every now and again!

I only saw maybe half an hour of the Beasties. And when I say 'saw', I mean....stood in a crowd way down the back, could occasionally see the screen. Did get to see an awesome turntable solo, but on the whole, we were too far back. We were too far back because we chose to see the Blues Explosion right to the end, and they were awesome! They'd kick the Beastie Boys asses anyday. But did mean we had no hope of getting within cooee of the Beasties. Such is life at the Big Day Out.

Dave and I managed to slide into the Boiler Room (after a couple of adventures on the way) and grooved to the Chemical Brothers. Yay!
Now for some spa to soothe our aching corpses.

Oh, fucking eh. Beastie Boys were fucking amazing! I was in the mosh pit. Was great, except when I got kicked in the head :P

Decoder Ring and Atmosphere and The Flairz were great too, though :P

We nearly didn't get to see the Chemical Brothers. The Entry gate was shut in our faces (literally), and it was only with daring and chutzpah that we barged upstream through the Exit gate past two burly bouncers to get into the enclosure. Getting into the Boiler Room itself was even harder.

But worth the effort : )
