Bleh. Well. That sucked.

Four or five days, after four I finally break the fucking fever. But for the next week, I don't exist people. Not IRL, anyway. All for the singing, is this girl Nacey. The gig (if it's still on) will be brilliant preparation. So no parties, no grog, no loud nights out. Quiet, gentle, relaxing nights.

Besides, I'm still fucking washed out after having a fever for that long. You guys better be pretty damned impressed with me. I got over the fever stage of tonsilitis in about three days. I just hope my vocal chords don't get agitated by the phelgm. It helps that I've been spitting all my spit out for the past few days. The only reason I've been doing that is cause I couldn't - still can't - actually swallow comfortably. (Tina giggled about that earlier, and for the sake of subtlety, I shall not elaborate. She said so, her rule, not mine.) So spit would gather up in my throat, and it's either swallow it or spit it out. The latter was more comfortable. Not as dignified, but certainly more comfortable.

Anyhew - Idol coming up - I am freaking out over that. But certainly not in a bad way. In a "Shit I hope my voice heals" way. I know I'm good, I know that in tip-top condition, I can blow the fuckers away, and if they don't like me, well - bugger it. Other avenues.

But I sooo hope they like me. *le sigh*.

I feel like someone drained all the energy out of me and tied knots in my ligaments. My neck has hurt for days. I'm okay now, but I feel like a whinger and a faker, even though I was laid out with a fever. I feel bad that Mum looked after me so much. But at least I'm getting better now.

Anyway, I should shower. I smell funky and I want to get into some normal clothes. I've been in pyjamas for far too long.

On a final note - thank you to everyone that sent me well-wishes. They certainly gave me a smile. I love you all.

Am glad you're feeling better. After that bit you posted about having a sore throat, it was like - D00d! Where the hell did Nancy disappear off to?? It's good to have ya back, man! Can you feel the lurve? <33333

On another note, re the whole Idol deal - they're so gonna LOVE you to death! Go kick some ass, babe! :D You'll knock 'em right off their seats! Good luck!

Thanks for the recommendation. And I was gone because I was fevering, which, I assure you, was quite a worry for me with Idol so close. I feel heaps better now, though, but I'm weak and my appetite is still shaky. And everything still tastes wrong. And my throat still hurts. But hey - no more fevers or spewing. :) Thanks for the hugs!

Hmm, you might want to try using a chloraseptic spray for the sore throat. It might help. Tried it once myself and it was gone in 2 days!
