Is this a WIP (Work In Progress)? No.
Notes: This is my first attempt to paint something in both Painter 8 and Photoshop 8. It was a bit weird, trying to render in Painter, mainly because I'm not really used to it yet. I found that I could get the tonal and colour qualities that I was after, very rich, meaty colours, but to define and render precisely, I had to go into Photoshop to perfect it all. I am reasonably pleased, even if the pose is a bit strange, (I never drew the wand that was supposed to be in her dangling hand). It's really just a practice picture, learning the new media. :)

Date: 2004-04-21 11:36 am (UTC)Have you ever seen an episode of BBC's Coupling? Sarah Alexander plays Susan and has bug-eyes ala Luna in the book. That set of eyes (too big for her head) is always how I pictured Luna.
a rather overlarge picture of Susan and her huge eyes (as well as Jack Davenport, who plays 'Steve' on Coupling and was in PotC) can be found here.
Not that I have any idea how to do them in profile...
