Someone messaged me today over fanfiction.net about my Children of the Gods fanfic series (Xena). I wrote that ten years ago, and someone bloody remembered! That's like a hundred years in fan years, so I'm pretty fucking stoked!

That series is why I'm here, why I found your journal in the first place. You're fuckin' Nancy Lorenz--author of that epic series with Xena & Ares, and Joxer & Gabrielle, and--hell. Seriously. I bet a lot of us remember.

That poem at the end of the first story--I still know most of it by heart, even though I probably haven't read it in a decade.

(And really? I remember Beautiful Like Me, too. It isn't just the series that you're known for. :P)

Anyway, I think it's way cool that someone messaged you about it. I always love getting feedback years after the fact--it's bizarre, and lovely, and such a joy. So yay! :)

Oh God girl, you're gonna make me cry! *beams* Or grin stupidly for hours! I've been rewriting the first story and releasing it on fanfiction.net if you're interested. :) It's just the first two that I'm rewriting. The last two just need to be edited. :) (And the last one written at all, I'm halfway done).

Grinning stupidly for hours is pretty much the best thing ever, so I'm glad to inspire that kind of reaction!

And awesome--I will definitely have to check out the rewrites. Thanks for letting me know! I'm really awful about following chapters as they're released, but I'm sure you'll get some glowing reviews from me sooner or later. :)

I'm terrible at that sort of thing myself so it's no worry! :) I'm also writing a sequel to The Band. I've got lots of Xena stories in the works. :)
