A Cornucopia of Nacey Art!

Is this a WIP (Work In Progress)?no
Notes: I did this thing *ages* ago, but someone recently requested to see some of my art of Harry Potter as a boy. Now, I did it once before feeling that I'd been there, done that, no need to go there again. The problem with the media I chose in this instance, is that it was a very rough, leather-textured paper. It was damn-nigh impossible to get any detail into it. I reminded myself that I never, ever, want to try to work on material that rough again, for either art or calligraphy! This baby is done with both watercolours and watercolour pencils. Yes, it's a real life, hard copy, got my hands dirty art piece. Personally, I like the colours I used. It's hard to get the look you want from a restricted palette. (I had like, 25 colours or something).

You said it was difficult to work with, but the result is incredible. LOVE the texture; it seems to have a lot of depth to it. And, an incredible likeness of Dan Radcliffe as Harry. I hope that is what you intended. :)

Just One Word
OK ... a couple more words. Great job. I actually like the leather-textured paper here. It gives it an "authentic Hogwarts-y" feel. And the red coloring gives the artwork itself such depth.
Beautiful piece.
