logansrogue: (happily ever after)

Decision.

I'm going to be selling prints and products of my art to raise money for a studio recording of my music. Things for sale will be:

- LotR artworks
- HP artworks
- Any other artwork you'd like to see.

I'm putting the feelers out for what you guys would like to see. I'm thinking of sticker sets of my art, magnets, things like that. I'd save money making them myself, that's for sure.

So what do you want as art memorabilia? Let me know!

If I could suggest one thing, why not use Cafepress.com or something like it for people in the USA that would like to buy something?

While it may be cheaper for you to make and ship within Aus, adding in the cost of shipping to the US doesn't make it cost effective for anyone.

Just a suggestion.

BTW - great idea for an open challenge with the tattoo picture. I hope to have something done tomorrow after I ditch this insomnia and finally get some sleep.

Actually, you'd be surprised. I did a print run of some artwork a few years back, and it ended up being very cheap for me and for the people involved. Cafepress doesn't give me enough of a cut to be worth it, I'm afraid. Most of the money you spend goes to them, not to me at all.

The postage I use when I send the stuff off is air mail, but with the longest time to get there. It takes some time but it's cheaper than you think. Anyway, that's just where I'm coming from with that. Thanks for the feedback :)

I like your Jeff Buckley stuff actually- the colour pencil one and the second oil on canvas... although I'm not endowed with great amounts of money myself. let me know!

I've been thinking about this and I've decided that I want that colour pencil sketch of Jeff regardless of cost- it's really beautiful. :D

Eh. It's in my sketch book and it was a working sketch for a project back in 1997. I don't know if I can really part with the original, but I can most certainly give you a high DPI signed print which won't cost so much and it'll be easy on my sentimental side LOL. Is that all right?

That would be cool... I don't really know what a DPI is, but it sounds cool. I wouldn't want to deprive you of the original anyway!

Magnets sound like a good idea. I'll take a set.
I think people would also like signed prints too. I would buy a few.
Good luck with this. Maybe you could advertise on Pumpkinpie.org? or Portkey? You know spread the word, increase sells all that good stuff.
*crosses fingers*

I'd love to see some of your Wolverine/Rogue stuff on magnets and stickers! And if I can find the money, I'd totally buy it! Oo! A print of some of your artwork, signed! *giggles* I'm so excited now.

I'd love to buy some of your art prints, maybe also in a postcard size so that they can be displayed together.

Calendars could be another idea. I know we've missed Jan and most of Feb, but you could do something like a 16 month calendar or something. ::shrug:: Just an idea.

There are some of you colour pieces that would look real spiffy of t-shirts too.

You can put name down hun ;)

While I am broke and thus incapable of buying your work, I can refer you to an LJ user who would be psyched about buying anything related to LOTR. Her username is marymethadone...keep her in mind. Good luck!
