Help the Whales!

Greenpeace Whale Petition

If you care about whales, please sign this petition. It's not a doofie email thing or anything like that. It's a legitimate petition at the Greenpeace.org.au website, petitioning a tuna company (Sealords) which is fifty-percent owned by Nissui, a Japanese company that practices whale hunting, to state its objection to whaling.

It's a long shot, I think. Especially since the company is half-owned by the people doing the whaling, but shit - you gotta try something, right? It can't hurt.

In addition, if you're going to by tuna - avoid Sealords. I have an easy time of avoiding tuna that hurts dolphins and whales. Cause I don't eat fish! Bwahahaha.

Unfortunately I like tuna and eat it (usually Safcol or Greenseas). The problem with dolphin safe tuna is that they have a massive shark bycatch instead. People care more about the dolphins so they can get away with it - heck, it's not heavily distributed information that making tuna dolphin safe makes it shark dangerous.

Oh no! I ate Sealords tuna the other week because it was on sale. It wasn't very nice. I love Japan, but why must they continue whaling? It's so archaic.

I love them as well. :( Lettuce and rice is nice. With a slab of beef next to it. Whoops.
